Why Profield, why now

We started as software that automatically composed printed catalogs. Over 20 years we grew into a "product information foundation for commerce" — centralizing product information itself and distributing it to e-commerce, catalogs and every medium.

Now we are building another layer on top of it: vertical, work-specific AI. Fix one product and the correction cascades into dozens of related places. Change a price and you must realign e-commerce, catalogs and the product database. This "chain of judgment," long supported by the experience and intuition of individual staff, is what we are teaching AI to learn and reproduce.

The value of vertical AI is decided by the depth of its proprietary data. We hold 20 years and 1,000 companies worth of knowledge about how product information is operated and decided — data that competitors cannot acquire overnight. The next few years are the most exciting phase in this company.
